Pioneered by Tasman Tanning and Silver Fern Farms, this premium and innovative New Zealand leather represents an exciting step forward for responsible fashion.
The leather is sourced from Silver Fern Farms Net Carbon Zero By Nature programme, which ensures the equivalent of 100% of end-to-end emissions associated with the production of leather have been absorbed by trees growing on their supplying farms.
Through this approach Silver Fern Farms are supporting and incentivising farmers to protect, restore and add to the amount of native bush and tree plantings so that farm environments are better able to capture carbon, and become more biodiverse.

The leather is a Toitū Envirocare Net Carbon Zero certified product to ISO 14067 standards, ensuring that its full carbon lifecycle - from farm to finished leather - is measured, and accounted for, with a reduction plan in place for ongoing improvement.
Additionally, through their partnership with Silver Fern Farms and leveraging the National Animal Identification Tag (NAIT) programme, Tasman Tanning has implemented an advanced batching system allowing traceability of hides back to the exact processing plant and supplying farms.
